The short version:

2-MINUTE SETUP

  1. Install Varyo Bundles and open Varyo Bundles → Add New.
  2. Pick one of the three starter templates.
  3. Set your quantities and discounts in Deal bars.
  4. Under Settings, choose the products or categories the offer applies to.
  5. Check the live preview and click Publish.
  6. Open the product page and confirm the price in the cart.

What a bundle offer is?

A bundle offer is a choice that appears beside the add-to-cart button on a product you already sell: buy two and save ten percent, buy one and get one free, or add the matching accessory for less than its usual price. The point is placement. The customer sees the option while they are already deciding what to buy, instead of discovering a promotion later or hunting for a coupon code.

GOOD TO KNOW

This is not a new product type. Varyo adds a deal to an existing product. It does not create a duplicate catalog product, a second SKU, or a separate inventory record to keep in sync.

Before you begin

You need:

  • A WordPress site with WooCommerce active.
  • At least one published product with a price.

Step 1: Pick a starter template

Go to Varyo Bundles → Add New. Varyo opens with three templates.

<!– SCREENSHOT 1 – the template chooser, all three cards visible. –>

Quantity Breaks rewards buying more of the same product, in tiers: buy 2 and save 10%, buy 3 and save 15%. Best for consumables and anything people buy in multiples.

Buy X Get Y is BOGO and its relatives: buy two, get a third free or discounted.

Complete Bundle pairs the main product with companion products at a bundle price.

Any of the three works for the rest of this guide. Each template builds a working offer with a starter title and a colour preset, so you are editing something real rather than assembling it from nothing. Every quantity, price, label, and visual setting stays editable. If this is your first offer, start with Quantity Breaks. It has the fewest moving parts.

Step 2: Set your numbers

Open the Deal bars section. This is where the offer’s actual figures live, and it is the one step that differs by template: tiers and discounts for Quantity Breaks, the X and the Y for Buy X Get Y, companion products for a Complete Bundle.

Whatever you are building, keep the first offer simple and give each bar a label that states the decision plainly:

  • Buy 1
  • Buy 2, save 10%
  • Buy 3, save 15%

The live preview updates as you type. Use it to confirm the three things a customer needs at a glance: what they get, what they save, and what they pay.

Step 3: Choose where the offer appears

Open **Settings** and choose which products or categories display the offer.

<!– SCREENSHOT 3 – the targeting settings with one product selected. –>

You have four options: apply the offer broadly, apply it broadly and exclude selected products, target only selected products, or target whole categories. For a first offer, target one product that already gets steady traffic, so you learn something from the result quickly.

Your original product, SKU, variations, and inventory are untouched. There is no second product to maintain.

Step 4: Preview and publish

Check the live preview before you publish. Four things:

  1. Product visibility is set to the correct and wanted product.
  2. All text are correct and without grammar mistakes.
  3. Prices and discounts are correct.
  4. The colours suit your storefront rather than fighting it.

<!– SCREENSHOT 4 – the live preview panel, close crop, real product prices. –>

Then click Publish.

If another published Varyo offer already targets the same product, Varyo warns you about the overlap. Fix the targeting or the priority so customers see one clear offer instead of competing ones.

Step 5: Test the real cart

Do not stop at the Publish button. The offer is not finished until you have bought it yourself. Open the product page in a private browser window and go through the whole journey.

<!– SCREENSHOT 5 – the cart showing the discounted line price. This is the

proof shot: the discount survived the trip from product page to cart. –>

Check that:

  • The offer appears beside the add-to-cart controls.
  • The savings and the total make sense.
  • The right quantity reaches the cart.
  • The cart shows the discounted price.
  • Changing the quantity in the cart moves to the bundle offer tier you expect.
  • The offer still reads clearly at checkout.

Varyo prices offers through WooCommerce’s own cart hooks, so the cart, checkout, taxes, order records, and emails all show the real discounted price. Test it anyway. Themes and other plugins vary, and two minutes of checking potential can avoid a week of headaches.

What happens next

Once the offer has seen real traffic, Varyo Bundles → Analytics shows views, orders, conversion rate, added revenue, and which option customers actually chose.

Give it enough traffic to mean something before you judge it, then change one thing at a time. Start with a single offer and a single goal. When you know how your customers respond, add a second rather than launching several untested promotions at once.

Frequently asked questions

Is Varyo Bundles free?

Yes. Varyo Bundles is free to download from WordPress.org, and it does not limit how many offers you can create or run.

Does Varyo Bundles create a new product for the bundle?

No. Varyo Bundles adds an offer widget to your existing WooCommerce product pages. It does not create duplicate catalog products, SKUs, or inventory records.

Does Varyo Bundles work with variable products?

Yes. Quantity Breaks, Buy X Get Y, and Complete Bundle offers all support variable products, with an inline variation picker and server-side validation of every selection.

Do I need a coupon code to run a Varyo Bundles offer?

No. The deal a customer selects is captured on the product page and priced through WooCommerce’s standard cart pricing hooks, so no coupon is involved.

Does Varyo Bundles work with coupons I already run?

Yes. WooCommerce coupons apply on top of the Varyo-discounted cart under WooCommerce’s normal rules. To stop them stacking, restrict the coupon in its own WooCommerce settings.

Does Varyo Bundles work with my theme?

Varyo Bundles renders inside the standard WooCommerce add-to-cart form, which virtually all WooCommerce themes output.

Will Varyo Bundles slow down my product pages?

Varyo Bundles adds about four database queries to a product page, whether you run five offers or a hundred, and its cart pricing completes in under a millisecond. You can verify both with the Query Monitor plugin.
